Why I Built Dunkin NeuroMap™
I developed Dunkin NeuroMap™ in response to a pattern I saw repeatedly in clinical work: thoughtful, skilled therapy stalling not because of technique, motivation, or insight, but because the nervous system was not yet ready for the work being asked of it.
The Problem
Across settings and populations, I observed clients engaging in evidence-based treatments while remaining dysregulated at more foundational levels of the nervous system. Change was thought to be accessible before sufficient regulation and stabilization had occurred. When treatment stalled, the issue was sequencing not clinician skill.
Dunkin NeuroMap™ emerged as a way to make nervous system organization more visible and clinically actionable.
The Intervention
NeuroMap™ is a neurophysiological assessment and treatment sequencing framework designed to help clinicians identify where to begin intervention, which nervous system systems require support first, and how to guide regulation before higher level therapeutic work is introduced. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace clinical judgment. Rather, it is intended to support thoughtful, attuned clinical decision making by grounding treatment in nervous system readiness.
Models
My clinical background is rooted in body based and neurodevelopmental approaches to trauma treatment. I am a Body and Somatic Education Practitioner (BASE-P), certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), EMDR-trained, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and trained in NeuroAffective Touch. These modalities have deeply informed my understanding of regulation, sequencing, and the importance of meeting the nervous system where it is, not where we wish it could be.
For Clinicians
Dunkin NeuroMap™ was developed for clinicians who value nervous system informed care, treatment sequencing, and clinical discernment. It is designed to integrate with existing modalities rather than replace them, offering a shared framework for understanding regulation, readiness, and progression in therapy.
If this approach aligns with your clinical philosophy, I invite you to explore whether Dunkin NeuroMap™ may be a fit for your work.
